Anyone else getting bored of doing audience research and genre research.... well i am.
Four film analysis' and a million questionnaire handouts later i gave up and decided to get onto some brainstorming...
Jamie and myself (paul was skivin) started getting ideas for our plot, which began rather stupidly with Jamie's ideas slowing turning into porn, *unimpressed look* , however after a lot of plot changing we decided we liked the 'interrogation style' and same techniques stolen from 'Momento' and 'The Fugitive'.
Now i beleive we have the best film... to be.

Well done on getting your blog up and running Rhys. Don't forget to add your name to the end of the post if you don't have a personal blog account so we all know who's posting.
Bored? Don't be so neg! - remember, there are other ways to get feedback from a potential audience than handing out a million questionnaires. How about a focus group or using email contacts? Using the blog is another way of getting feedback on your ideas...keeping things specific also helps...eg. What techniques were you thinking of using from Mem. & Fug.? What other film openings did you analyse? Keep up the good work...
skiving. bleh. ( paul by the way ) first of all. this is hard to use. afetr finding out id been on a spanish blog for about 10 min. i think i know how to use this thing now.
gotta tell me the new and improved plot line maybe tomorrow, and im making a folder fo the stuff ive got down ( research ) i think we should start to get people for our film also, cos that might be one of the most challenging aspects of it so far.
anywho. im off.
C'mon guys! Update yr blog! How you getting on??????? The world needs to know!
right. finally i remeber to do this work ( partially. also watching the borat film.. but thats a differant story)
ok, i guess i need to patch things up seeing as i havnt been here 'forever' as some people may think.
ok, well to start off with ive madwe a folder of teh work i have done. althoguh some bits arnt tehre, such as the audience research.
spose i should like point it out.. ok here goes.
-research on thriller genre itself ( i did more of a general thing linking jsut to films, but i guess i could extent it to literature n stuffs)
-an anlaysis on psycho
-1 analysis of a student film ( found on youtube.. quite good actually ) need 1 more to go to complete that
-have yet to do teh planning and research essay ( that 2000 word one?)
-Storyboards, will bring in tomorrow (thursday) will also clip together the old storyboard for comparison. if there are any sheets, guess they can be used to do after thoughts and other drawings.
i think thats it.. at least i think it is. will post more up afterwards.
concerning some props. like the maggots. probs best the get a pint down the tackle up in bury, as they are pretty cheap, hammer, easily taken from parents or otherwise, and any others just talk n' i can try sort it.
ok, will post this and edit the million typos that will probs appear in it.
oh yeh, forgot to say, will be bringing in my folder round abouts friday, when the deadline is.
also, poland is from thursday ( 10pm) to sunday night, so if any filming is done, can i get updated with it?
cheers again.
and rhys.. dont worry itll be sorted :P
just another thoguht, as ive come downstairs. maggots again.
i was running throguh saw special features ( kinda nerdy, whatever) and saw that a good way to put maggots that will stay where u wanna is to put a little honey on the place ( in our case, the arm) and then put the maggots on top of that. hopefully that way we can put on a relistic amonut to create a preety awesome effect.
anywho, laters all.
p.s would it be an idea for either me or rhys to post up jamies work seeing as his net isnt working ( or not got one, not sure )
Paul, why not add to the blog rather than just adding comments? Then we can see on the front page what you're all up to and how it's all progressing? Keep up the good work, though!!
OK lads - one post and loads of comments.
Start posting some of your stills or even some video to the blog so you can get some audience feedback...
